    I Dreamed Last Night

We all dream but when we awake we seldom remember details of our dreams. I'm the same way but occasionally when I awake a dream remains vividly in my mind. Last night was such a night. Have you ever wondered if your dreams have a meaning? And if so, who can interpret that dream? Joseph is not around to be our interpreter as he was for the Pharaoh. Nor can we find Daniel who interpreted the king's dreams. So who will guide us us in our interpretation?

We can only surmise, can only guess. Let me tell you my dream of last night and you be the Daniel or Joseph of my dream.

Like most dreams, it seemed real and logical at the time but the memory upon consciousness revealed a fragmented and logically flawed story. In my dream, I woke early and commenced my day while my beautiful wife still slumbered (and that is certainly not what I ever do in reality). I had forgone my usual morning ritual of putting drops in my eyes and a contact in my left eye and instead went straight to my desk in the lanai.

There is never a magazine on my desk but this morning one suddenly appeared. I picked it up and opened it to a random page and began to read. The substance of what I read was of no importance to me but what was important was that the print was sharp and easy for me to read. I again thumbed through the magazine and came across another article, this one with print about half the normal size. Again, I could plainly read the tiny text.

By this time I heard Alice puttering around in the kitchen preparing our morning coffee"Come in here Alice", I yelled excitedly"OK", I heard from the kitchen. So I began to read un-hesitatingly from the tiny print article"Isn’t that amazing?", I exclaimed and then I turned and saw that Alice had retreated to the kitchen without witnessing my surprise"Alice, come in here now!", I yelled even more emphatically. This time she came and did indeed witness my amazing feat and joined me in awe and wonder at this miracle.

Then the curtain fell on my dream or at least fell on my memory of the dream.

So now, you interpret the meaning of this dream. Does it mean that hope exists that my whole vision will be restored? Or does it mean that we should all be glad and share the "Good News" to those around us? Or something else? Either which way, such dreams and their recollection are further evidence of our God-given gifts of creativity, imagination, and hope.

    God bless all.
